Dogs are much like us. They too must be well taken care of and that includes their diet. We often hear those stories about people getting diagnosed with cancer and how changing their diet helped stop the growth of malignant cells dramatically or cases where certain eating habits have helped with longevity. If this works for us, maybe the same could be true for our furry best friends.

So I decided to begin transitioning my four-legged King to a Raw Feeding diet. I have also decided to include you all on my journey. I plan to update you weekly via blog as well as a vlog on my YouTube channel which can be found HERE.

A few personal reasons I am transitioning King is because:

He is getting older. I have had him for 5 going on 6 years.
I do not like processed foods so why should I feed him processed foods.
His breath is harsh and brushing his teeth depresses him, but I still brush them.
He has plaque built up around his teeth.
I don’t want him to get severely ill.
I love him so much and I want him to be as healthy and comfortable with me as he can.

There is a plethora of information out there, and I will divulge what I am learning as I am learning. I want to encourage you to read on your own and also check with your veterinarian to understand your options and what will be the healthiest thing for your pet.
